Hi, I’m James. A general surgeon specialising in hernia surgery, endoscopy, gallstones and bowel disease. Based in Christchurch, I was born, raised and trained right here in New Zealand.
When you enlist the services of a surgeon, you assume they’ll have the prerequisite skills required for the job. But you also hope that they’ll treat you as a person, rather than just a procedure.
That’s something which is very important to me. We’re all unique. And we’re all on a different journey when it comes to our personal health. Being a part of that journey is a privilege, and something I never take for granted. I spend the time getting to know each and every one of my patients, tailoring an approach based on their own circumstances, needs and medical history.
